Featuring hiking and biking trails that cover 40 acres of the Elm and Hale Lakes, campers staying at Brazos Bend State Park can enjoy the wooded landscapes and alligator viewings. The park offers tent campsites with electricity and water, restrooms with showers, screened shelters, a dining hall, kitchen facilities, barbecue pit and equestrian campsites for individuals who plan on riding the trails. In addition, the Creekfield Lake Nature Trail provides an interpretive half-mile loop of amazing wetland areas. However there are other activities also available for those who want to explore the water. Anglers can choose fishing spots from six lakes, three with piers from which fishermen can cast their lines. The Nature Center, as well as the George Observatory, presents nature exhibits and programs that enhances the outdoor experience.
