Thousand Trails voted "Campground of the Year" in both 2008 and 2009 by Verde Valley Reader's Choice Sedona and Verde Valley magazine. Nestled along the Verde River, this campground and RV Park has over 300 acres of grounds on which to hike, bike, swim, boat and fish. Thousand Trails has 265 sites for both tents and camper trailers. The campground has wireless Internet, a clubhouse and a country store. Sites have full hookups. Surrounded by Red Rocks to the north and Mingus Mountains to the west, this campgrounds has plenty of places to stay active.

Kailab Camper Village is on the Grand Canyon's north rim, and offers full hookups for RV sites. Jacobs Lake is only one mile southwest of the campgrounds. Besides the full-hookup sites, the village has tent sites available at a lower cost. All sites have fire pits and picnic tables. The campground has toilets, outside sinks, a coin-operated laundry and a camper store. There are horseback riding, hiking and biking trails throughout the grounds. The Ranger Service has a station in an old restored cabin where they offer tours and interpretive programs about the canyon.

Meteor Crater RV Park is located in northern Arizona just five miles away from a 50 million-year-old meteor crater. The park has 71 pull-through RV sites, and tent-camping sites set apart from the RV area. There is wireless Internet service throughout the park, which also provides shower facilities and restrooms. Across the street from the park is a gas station, laundry facility, game room and Mexican restaurant. Day trips can be arranged at the clubhouse for visits to the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Navajo Nation and Hopi Mesas as well as the Mogollon Rim and the San Francisco Peaks.
