Isanti, Minn., is a small town a little less than an hour away from Minneapolis, which gives those living in the large city an easy way to escape from the hustle and bustle. There are also several high-quality campgrounds and sites available within the town for those nature lovers. Of course, most of the campsites have something slightly different to offer than the others.
The Isanti County Fairgrounds during the summer time offers the occasional fair, concert or show. During the rest of the year it is a campground. RV camping and tent camping is available. Also, there are shower facilities available for those wanting to shower. There isn't any body of water or lake nearby. There are also playground and picnic facilities. The Isanti County Fairgrounds is not as rustic as many of the other camping locations, but there are many amenities that other places do not offer.
For those looking for all the amenities of being at home while still sleeping in the great outdoors, Kozy Oaks Camp is perfect. Not only are there showers and a playground, but each of the more than 110 sites has electric and water hookups. In addition, there is an outdoor pool. The daily rate increases for those wanting to take advantage of the electricity. The site is open from April until October.
For those not looking for much other than a plot in the woods to camp, then County Camping and RV park is perfect. It doesn't offer the amenities of the other locations, however it's great for those looking to get back to nature and live for a few days without all the electricity and running water.
