Cuyahoga Valley National Park Lodging

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is between Akron and Cleveland. You can explore the national park year round. Take a few things to take into consideration when considering lodging in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
  1. Types

    • Two options are available when considering lodging in and around Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Inn at Brandywine Falls in Sagamore Hills is a six-room bed and breakfast and Stanford Backcountry Campground has only five campsites available for rent from the National Park Service. The campground can only be accessed by way of a hiking trail.

    Time Frame

    • Cuyahoga Valley National Park is open year-round, but not all areas of the park are open 24 hours. Several areas close at dusk and re-open after sunrise, including Brandywine Falls, Ledges, Octagon, Kendall Lake, Happy Days South Parking Area and Kendall Hill Area on Quick Road. The only campground within the park (Stanford Backcountry Campground) is only open the end of May through the end of October.

    History

    • Built in 1848, the Inn at Brandywine Falls is on the National Register of Historic Places. As of summer 2010, park rangers say the Stanford Backcountry Campground dates back at least 15 years.
