During winter, the landscape accommodates cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing; you also can visit the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Wasilla. The accommodations are rustically extravagant smoke-free cottages that offer a stylish decor and contemporary amenities. All cottages offer in-floor heating under wood and slate floors, fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, king-size beds, television and two bathrooms, one with a jetted tub and double shower head. Cottages come stocked with a variety of foods and beverages including coffee, hot chocolate, juices, pancake mix and cereals. Accommodations are available from $200 per night, as of summer 2010.

    • Alaska Kozey Cabins in Wasilla offer comfortable and cozy cabins that can accommodate up to six guests at a time. Each cabin is available year-round and is nonsmoking. Cabins come equipped with cable television, complete kitchen, queen and full-size beds, modern bathrooms and telephone service.     Aprils Cozy Cabins

    • Aprils Cozy Cabins are located in Soldotna, Alaska along the Kenai Peninsula. From the modernized cozy cabins, guests can enjoy the view of West Mackey Lake. The cabins are only two miles from Sterling Highway, providing easy access all year round. There are two cabins available for rent and both are equipped with satellite television and microwaves. The Lake Cabin has a modestly equipped kitchen with toaster oven and coffee maker, bathroom with shower and two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and another with two twin beds. The Woods Cabin includes the same amenities as the other but includes a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove with oven. Both cabins have a large deck with chairs and a barbecue. Cabins are available from $115 per night, according to 2010 pricing.
