Behind the cabins is the north fork of the south branch of the Potomac River, where fishing and canoeing are popular outdoor activities. The cabins are located 3 miles from Seneca Rocks, the actual mountain climbing area that gives the locale its name. The furnished cabins feature a large living room and kitchen, a working fireplace, hardwood floors and cathedral ceilings. The cabins offer a queen-sized bed in the downstairs master bedroom and three additional twin beds in the loft.

    Yokum's Vacationland

    • Located in Seneca Rocks, this facility offers 60 log cabins with fireplaces, full kitchens and fresh linens. Some of the cabins are designed for honeymooners and come with Jacuzzis. The property also features horse stables. Visitors can take 1 1/2-hour horseback rides through the countryside. Some cabins feature two double beds. Others feature one double bed and a sofa bed. Larger cabins feature plenty of sleep area with the option of a queen bed, two full beds and four twin beds scattered among two spacious bedrooms and a loft.     • Located in Seneca Rocks, this destination offers both cabin stays and the beauty of Smoke Hole Caverns. Both family and honeymoon cabins are available. Family cabins sleep six people in two bedrooms and a loft and also feature a wood-burning fireplace. The rooms feature queen beds, and the loft features a pair of twin beds. Cabins measure 900 square feet and are equipped with wireless Internet. Cabin lodgers also can swim in an outdoor pool and share a picnic area. Visitors also can enjoy a 1-hour tour of the caverns.     North Fork Mountain Inn

    • Located on the north edge of the Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area, the inn offers year-round stays in a variety of cabin rooms. The inn operates as a bed and breakfast. That means you never need to worry about the first meal of the day when you stay at the inn. Some cabins are shared spaces, where a single room or a suite comprises only a part of the cabin. Other cabins are single units. The owners, Ed and Carol Fischer, have been running the inn since they purchased it in August 2006.
