Elijah Clark State Park is located on eastern edge of Georgia, just miles from the South Carolina border. It sits on the western shore of the 70,000-acre Clarks Hill Lake, the second largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi River. It is named for a frontiersman and Georgia Revolutionary War hero. Twenty cottages sit along the lake shore. Each cottage has two bedrooms and one bath, and sleeps up to eight people. Each bedroom has two double beds. Cabins feature a fully-equipped kitchen with a coffee maker and microwave, a wood-burning fire place, screened porch and cable TV. Cabins also have a picnic table and grill outside. Two are dog-friendly, allowing up to two dogs, each with a maximum weight of 40 pounds. The park does charge an additional fee for dogs. The park also offers tent and RV campsites and a pioneer camp. It features picnic shelters, a swimming beach, a fishing pier, playgrounds and a log cabin museum.

Crooked River is located on the Georgia coast, just north of the Florida border. This 500-acre park is based around a nature center consisting of both maritime forest and salt marsh.
