How to Get to Western Wayne High School in Pennsylvania

Western Wayne High School is part of the Western Wayne School District in Wayne County, northeast Pennsylvania. Western Wayne draws students from the townships of Canaan, Lake, Salem, Sterling and part of Clinton. Total student enrollment in the district is approximately 2,500. The high school and middle school are located on the same grounds, at 1970 Easton Turnpike, Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. You can approach the high school from Waymart to the north, Scranton to the southwest, Mt. Pocono to the south or Matamoras to the east.

  1. Approaching from Waymart

      Drive south from Waymart on state Route 296. After eight miles, you will reach the school grounds.

      Turn left at the school sign, onto the school grounds.

      Drive past the middle school and park in the high school parking lot.

    Approaching from Scranton

      Drive east from Scranton on Interstate 84. When you reach Exit 8 (state Route 247/state Route 348), exit onto state Route 247 and drive to the next light. At the light, turn right onto state Route 348 East.

      Drive along state Route 348 until you reach the intersection of state Route 191/196, otherwise known as Easton Turnpike. Turn left onto Easton Turnpike and drive north. After eight miles, you will reach the school grounds.

      Turn right at the school sign, onto the school grounds. Drive past the middle school and park in the high school parking lot.

    Approaching from Mt. Pocono

      Drive north from Mt. Pocono on state Route 196. After approximately 32 miles, you will reach the school grounds.

      Turn right at the school sign, onto the school grounds. Drive past the middle school and park in the high school parking lot.

    Approaching from Matamoras

      Drive west from Matamoras on Interstate 84. After approximately 44 miles, you will reach Exit 17.

      Take Exit 17 onto state Route 191/196 and drive north. After 11 miles, you will reach the school grounds.
