Explore the culture. Check out the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, local shops or a show at the theater or on the side of the street. Fishing and hiking also is available nearby in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Look for native artifacts. Shop at many of the local street vendors or businesses, which offer a variety of unique gifts and decor like hand-carved crafts, jewelery, hand-woven baskets and other items.
Try your hand at some luck. Lodge in or visit Harrah's Cherokee hotel and casino for your chance at winning a hand against a live card dealer or on a video game machine. The casino offers a rewards program for future trips and serves free non-alcoholic beverages. Sometimes a music concert or other performance is available at the venue.
