When you know the exact date you will be visiting Disney World, take time beforehand to research the trip. Print lots of maps of the park as well as Orlando so you know where you will be going. You will especially want to research prices of the park so you can create a budget and have a good idea as to how much you will be spending that day during the park. If you are driving yourself, be sure to map the quickest routes to the park. This will save you time when upon your arrival and departure.
Create a schedule as to which areas of the park you want to visit. If you are going to be visiting the park multiple days, decide which day you will be visiting certain areas of the park and at what times. This will allow you to see everything you want to see and will help you to avoid wasted time. However, do not shy away from being spontaneous and experiencing certain attractions you did not plan on seeing. Keep a schedule but do not being so rigid that it prevents you from having fun during your time in the park.
This is one of the most important tips you can follow. Be sure to arrive at the park at least 30 minutes before it opens (to be safe you may want to arrive 45 minutes or even an hour before it opens). Disney World becomes crowded fast. As a result, the earlier you get there the more you will experience before the large crowd settles into the park.
Be sure to take breaks during the day, especially during hot weather. Always carry water with you and drink it liberally. This will keep you fresh and help prevent you from becoming dehydrated.
If you drive to Disney World and want to visit the Magic Kingdom, the quickest way to get there is to park in Epcot. Once parked, take the monorail to the park. This is a quick way to enter and leave the park as well. If you took one of the buses to the park and want to leave but do not want to wait in line for the bus (the bus line can be hundreds upon hundreds of people long), call a taxi. This will save you a lot of time and is beneficial when you want to simply go back to your room and rest.
