How to Use the Rider Swap at the Disney Resorts

Bringing your children to Walt Disney World is a dream for all parents. Making the most out of the Disney vacation for your children while making sure the adults have an enjoyable time can be difficult. There may be attractions or rides that are not suitable for certain members of your party because of height requirements, but the adults may want to ride the attraction as well. Use the Disney Rider Swap option to ensure that everyone will get a chance to enjoy the attractions.

There are many Disney rides that do not have height requirements.

Make a list of attractions your young ones will not be able to ride before you leave. Not all Disney attractions have height requirements but ones that do can be found online. All of the attractions that have height requirements will feature the Rider Swap option.

Get a FastPass for the attractions if the lines look long. Approach the booth and insert your ticket. You will then receive a time to return to the attraction and not have to wait in a very long line. Make sure everyone performing the Rider Swap has a FastPass. Not all attractions offer a FastPass, just the most popular.

Go through the line and visit the cast member as you arrive at the front for the attraction. The first group will ride while the cast member will show the second group where to wait. When the group returns, the swap will occur without having to wait in line again.

Make use of the attractions with single rider options. If only one adult wants to ride, there are attractions that offer a line for people riding by themselves to make the line for them shorter. Currently only two Disney attractions offer this option, Test Track at Epcot and Everest at Animal Kingdom.
