Go through all of the lessons offered by the game before starting the journey. This gives you the chance to master basic functions and principles that players need to win. The options menu allows players to turn off music or sounds during the game, which can be helpful if they are distracting during the lessons. The Farmer Girl is behind a blocked path of hay. Move up and to the left until you reach a stack of hay that has the ladder. Climb up the ladder and position Lily near the gaps. Jump those gaps and make your way down. Veer to the right to speak with the farmer girl. While there, remove the bale with her.
Several Mini Games are scattered throughout the Main game. Players must unlock each one separately. Turn over books in the Castle Bright Library with the control pad and "A" button to find matches without losing all Happiness from the meter. In the Clothes Shop, use the control pad to select clothes that need to be matching colors. Push buttons to correspond with music at the Music Shop. If all notes are played correctly, the player's award is a fiddle. The Potion shop moves potion containers with the control pad to create the right order of ingredients. Watch for containers disappearing. Move and select pieces with the control pad and "A" button in the Curio Shop to correct the painting. Gem shop requires the player to rearrange gems. Match each gem with the corresponding shape in the jewelry box. Access to the Mini Games, as well as Special Scenes from the Main Game, are available through extras.
