Each company offers skydiving from different locations in New Jersey, so you will want to see what company is closest to you or within a short driving distance. The companies' locations are listed on their websites.
Visit the company's website to set up an appointment to skydive. Each website offers information on how to set up an appointment; just respond to the prompts. The company will call you to finish setting up your appointment time. You may also simply call the company of your choice to set up an appointment. You will either pay for your skydiving trip at that time with a credit card or arrange to pay on the day of your appointment. Prices, as of January 2011, range from $165 to $205 for a first-time tandem skydive.
Arrive a few minutes early to your appointment. You must attend the training class before you will be allowed to jump. These classes are usually 45 minutes to one hour. Sign the release to skydive.
Put on your gear as instructed. You will also be instructed on how to board the plane. When you reach altitude, your instructor will harness you to him so you jump together. Once you reach the drop zone, you and your instructor will be given the green light to jump.
