How to Quickly Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

Celsius is a method of measuring temperature that is based on a scale of 100, with 0 degrees being the freezing point of water and 100 degrees being the boiling point. Fahrenheit is another scale of temperature measurement that is commonly used in the U.S. If you are outside of the U.S. or are reading a measurement that happens to be listed in Celsius, you can quickly convert to Fahrenheit in just a few steps.

  Obtain the temperature in degrees Celsius.

  Multiply this Celsius measurement by the number nine. For example, if the temperature of a container of water is 25 degrees C, multiply 25 times nine to get 225.

  Divide the product from Step 2 by the number five. In this example, 225 divided by five equals 45.

  Add the number 32 to your quotient from Step 3 to obtain your final answer: 45 plus 32 equals 77. Therefore, the temperature of the water in this example would equal 77 degrees F.
