Charter Bus Games for Passengers

When you are traveling by charter bus, the trip can soon become boring and eventually may seem to be never ending. Playing a few bus games can help to keep passengers occupied and awake during the trip. You can add a twist to the games by changing the rules a bit. In addition, playing bus games can be educational to children riding the bus.
  1. Alphabet Signs

    • The "Alphabet Signs" game requires passengers to look carefully at the areas they are passing through. The objective of the game is to go through the letters of the alphabet in order by locating an object that starts with each letter. Each participant in the game must say the word when the passengers have reached the letter in the alphabet. For example, a person sees an apple and says the word "apple." Another person sees a bus and calls out the word "bus." The passengers continue through the entire alphabet in order until they reach the letter "z."

    Word Building

    • Grab a piece of paper to pass around to every participant playing the "Word Building" game. A person jots a letter of the alphabet on the piece of paper. A different person adds an additional letter from the alphabet on the same piece of paper with the purpose of spelling a particular word. Each participant continues to pass the paper around until the combined letters spell a word. However, the game can end if the letters do not spell a word or no one can add additional letters. A player can challenge the previous person to complete the word, if the person thinks the other participant does not have a word in mind.

    Why? Because.

    • Each participant writes a question on a piece of paper. The question must start with "Why?" For example, "Why does it rain?", "Why do cats meow?" "Why is the sky blue?" Flip the top portion of the paper over, covering the question. Pass the paper to another participant, who writes an answer down without knowing what the question is. The answer has to start with the word "because," such as "because it is 50 degrees." Afterward, read the exact question along with the answer for a funny response.

    Twenty Questions

    • A person mentions she is a place, person or thing. Or, the person states she is a mineral, fruit, river or animal. The other game participants get to ask the person 20 different questions. The person can only answer the questions with a "yes" or "no."
