Pick out an area that you want to map. Use a pencil to draw an outline that resembles the shape of that area.
Fill in the area of the map with streets, major places and/or landmarks. Simple drawings can be used and labeled to mark areas of interest.
Use colored pencils, markers or crayons to contrast certain areas of the map. This can make it easier to read.
Pick a route to be followed and trace it with a marker or crayon. It may help to mark the starting and ending location with a star or an x.
Finish labeling the blank areas on your map.
