How to Change Your Age on a Passport

Passports are documents that provide proof of identity and nationality, and are recognized around the world . In recent years it has become a necessity to carry a passport any time you are traveling out of your home country. If your passport is issued to you with any incorrect information it is important that you have this information corrected before traveling abroad. If your date of birth, which allows customs officials to determine how old you are, is incorrect, you can file for a date of birth change with the U.S. Department of State.
