Go to the Travisa Indian Visa Center website at indiavisa.travisaoutsourcing.com. Start a new visa application by clicking "Get Started" on the home page. Complete the visa application through the website by following the page navigation prompts. Once the application is complete, print and sign the completed form. Attach two color passport-style photographs to the spaces indicated on the application form.
Place the application form in a mailing envelope along with all supporting documents. Supporting documents include your current passport with at least six months remaining validity, a photocopy of your driver's license or other official document verifying your name and residential address such as a utility bill, photocopy of your birth certificate (if not an U.S. birth certificate it must be translated into English and notarized) and the required payment. The preferred method of payment is a money order made payable to Travisa Outsourcing. Other forms of payment are acceptable only for applications made in person. The total application fee varies depending on the type of visa; a six month visitor's visa is $73 and five year and ten year visitor's visas are $163.
Send the application form, supporting documents and application fee to Travisa Outsourcing. Include a self-addressed, prepaid return envelope with your choice of shipment method. Overnight with tracking is recommended when sending a passport in the mail. The Travisa address to send your application to depends on your state of residence.
