How to Measure International Distances Between Two Cities

Calculating the distance between two international cities can be helpful when determining the mileage of an air flight. To measure the distance between two cities, you must use an extensive trigonometry formula. Fortunately, Geobytes has an online tool that performs this calculation for you. The service is free of charge and only requires the city's name and country.

  Enter the origin city and the destination city into the corresponding fields. Click "Next."

  View the distance between both cities. The distance tool calculates the distance in miles and kilometers, as the crow flies. This means the distance is measured by using latitude and longitude coordinates. This formula does not include driving distance.
