Royal Jordanian allows each each economy-class passenger one carry-on bag. Crown class passengers (except those traveling on an Embraer aircraft, where all passengers are limited to one carry-on) may carry on two pieces of baggage. All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of the passenger.
Articles such as a coat, an umbrella or walking stick, a small camera or binoculars or a pair of crutches can be carried on-board free of charge. Laptops and small video camera units will be considered equivalent to a briefcase or one overnight bag. Items which exceed these limitations are not permitted into the aircraft cabin.
Carrying pets is only permitted in economy class (Y/C) cabins and is subject to the following conditions: The weight of the animal and crate (or pouch) must not exceed 7 kilograms (15.4 lbs). The flying time of the requested flight must not exceed five hours. The number of pets on each flight must not exceed two--one in the forward section and the other in the aft section of the economy-class compartment. The container (or pouch) dimensions must not exceed the under-seat stowage area. The reservation must be arranged at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time, and an approval is required from RJ's Systems & Procedures Section.
The pet is not considered part of the passenger's free baggage allowance. It will be charged as normal excess baggage for both the pet's weight and the weight of its cage or kennel.
Pets such as dogs, cats and other small domestic animals accompanying a passenger on the same flight may be accepted as checked baggage. Pets will be treated as excess baggage and cannot be included in the checked baggage allowance and the following conditions must be met before acceptance on the flight.
