Instructions

    • 1

Open the chamber of the handgun, or the barrels. Check that there are no live rounds in the chamber or barrel.

    • 2

Place a trigger lock over the handgun's trigger, which locks the trigger down and into place. Place the key to the lock in a safe area where it will not be lost. Do not store it in the handgun case or next to the handgun.

    • 3

Put the handgun in a safe lockbox for the weapon. Lock the box with the handgun inside and put the key with the trigger-lock key. Store the handgun case in a closet or secure storage bin in the RV.

    • 4

Store all handgun permits and paperwork with the RV registration and insurance cards. Keeping all documents in one area makes it easier to get them should you be pulled over by traffic officers and need to produce the documents.
