Decide on your transportation to the Orlando area. If driving, Orlando is located off of Interstate 4. Most drivers take Interstate 95 or Interstate 75, both of which intersect with Interstate 4. If flying, Orlando has a clean and modern international airport. If you find fares too expensive to fly into Orlando, consider flying into the Tampa/Saint Petersburg airport and renting a car; Orlando is less than two hours away.

Visit the Disney attractions. One of the main reasons anyone goes to Orlando is to check out the Magic Kingdom. With a host of Disney characters, kid-friendly rides and activities such as parades and fireworks, the Magic Kingdom is a must-see. Next is Disney's EPCOT Center. Focusing on educational activities, technologies of the future and cultures around the world, EPCOT makes learning fun. Disney's MGM Studios is a movie-lot themed park offering thrilling roller coasters, behind-the-scenes movie experiences and characters from some of the most widely recognized movies ever made. Finally Disney's Animal Kingdom features rides, shows and live animals-it's like a zoo on steroids.

Get soaked at one of Orlando's water parks. Disney owns two of them-Blizzard Beach (made to look like a ski resort) and Typhoon Lagoon. Other water parks include Wet 'n Wild, the highest-attended water park in the United States, and Water Mania, a kid-friendly water-soaked adventure. For a water adventure of a different sort, visit Orlando's SeaWorld. See world-famous Shamu, the killer whale with a few tricks up his sleeve. Attend exhibits by marine biologists featuring manatees, dolphins and penguins.

Head to the beach. No spring break is complete without a little sun and sand. Orlando may be in the middle of Florida, but it is just a short drive away from Cocoa Beach to the east and Clearwater Beach to the west.
