Visit the application store through your smart phone. Download the Foursquare application. Use the search function in the application store to find the Foursquare application.
Open the Foursquare application and create your account. There will be an account page the first time you open the application on which you will need to fill in the fields with your name and email address to create the account.
Visit Cambridge, Mass., and while there, open your Foursquare application.
Type "Harvard" in the search field at the top of the application page. A list of "Harvard" locations will appear along with the addresses. Not all Harvard locations are on Harvard's campus.
Check in at each Harvard location you visit. To check in, go to the Harvard list and select the location are at. Hit the green "Check In" button at the top of the page.
Visit Harvard locations until you get a message that you have unlocked the Harvard Yard (bird) Badge. This message will show in your Foursquare application and will also be sent to your email address.
