Montebello is home to the historic Montebello Golf Course, an 18-hole municipal course built in 1928 that has been a city course since 1941. The course administrators encourage senior citizens to avoid the busy weekend crowds, offering steep discounts to seniors to play their rounds of either 9 or 18 holes on weekdays. In addition, the city offers a discount card to seniors that gives them additional bargains on golf. The Montebello Golf Course has a schedule of tournaments each month, including some designed for seniors, and offers lessons in English, Spanish and Korean.
