How to Know If Disney Passes Are Still Good

Spanning over 30,000 acres near Orlando, Florida, Disney World includes two water parks, four theme parks, 23 themed hotels, a campsite and spa and golf facilities. Originally opened in October 1971, it is now the world's biggest and most popular resort. Tickets to Disney World can be expensive depending on the time of year and your choices, so if you've purchased some you haven't yet used, here's how to check they are still valid for use.

      Check the date of purchase, either on the tickets themselves or on the receipt or bank statement. Tickets purchased prior to Jan. 2, 2005 will be accepted at Disney World as the new pricing structure was not yet active. Tickets purchased after Jan. 2, 2005 will have an expiration date, or the words "No Expiration," which shows the tickets can be used at any time.

      Verify the last time you used your tickets if they are "Magic Your Way" tickets. These are valid for multiple uses, but subsequent uses must be within 14 days of the first use. If it has been over 14 days since you first used the tickets, they have now expired. Tickets that have not yet been used, or that have "No Expiration" printed will be valid.

      Visit Guest Services at the Disney Resort. The clerk should be able to tell you whether your tickets are still valid, and how long they are valid for. You will need to take the ticket with you for the clerk to see.

      Check the time left on your tickets online. Disney World online, and click "Tickets and Reservations." Select "Guest Services" and follow the instructions to find out the expiration date of your tickets.

      Call Disney World. The operators will be able to access Guest Services to tell you how long your tickets are valid for, or other details such the last time you used a pass. They will also be able to advise you on which ticket type suits your needs the best, should your ticket have already expired.
