Summer camps in Texas provide girls of various ages the opportunity to gain meaningful and lasting friendships while engaging in fun and educational activities. In most of these camps, girls are encouraged to customize their camping experience by selecting activities that provide skill or knowledge in their areas of interest.
Kickapoo Kamp is a private summer camp for girls between the ages of 7 and 17 with more than 30 activities to choose from during a two-week stay. Classes and activities are conducted in small groups to provide campers with individual attention and instruction. Activities include canoeing, fitness, water skiing, dance and gymnastics, swimming, beauty spas, arts and crafts, tennis and archery. Swimming classes are coached according to Red Cross standards and cater to children with various swimming skills. Swimming takes place in Turtle Creek, which runs through the camp. There are also volleyball and basketball courts and a horseback riding arena and barn. Girls stay in one of 12 cabins and have meals in the central Lodge's dining hall. A two-week camping adventure at Kickapoo Kamp is available for $2,150.

Camp Sierra Vista provides girls between the ages of 6 and 16 with a personalized summer camping experience. Participants customize their schedule by choosing 10 different activities to take part in each week. Campers choose from a multitude of programs including horseback riding, water skiing, swimming, arts and craft, animal care, journalism, drama and many more. Girls participate in five of each of her chosen activities each day for the week. Campers stay in stone cabins with five to 18 other girls and two to five counselors. All meals are prepared at camp and served in the dining hall. Camp Sierra Vista's summer camp costs $1,200 for one week or $2,150 for two weeks.

Rocky River Ranch, located in the village of Wimberley, is an established all-girls summer camp for girls between the ages of 7 and 14. The camp has many activities to choose from and campers select the activities that are of most interest to them. Activities include wall climbing, cooking, doll making, health and beauty, knitting, rappelling, videography, fishing and horseback riding. Girls staying for a two week camping experience may select different activities in each week. The camp has five bunkhouses, a large meeting space, camp store, dining hall and large swimming pool. One week at Rocky River Ranch is available for $745.
