Elroy is a small town of less than 2,000 people that sits along the Baraboo River in western Wisconsin. The town used to be an important railroad hub, helping to connect Chicago and the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. But after better tracks were eventually built further north, the town decided to convert the railroad area into an extensive bike trail for its residents to enjoy. Located 25 miles from Elroy, you'll find Cedar Lodge and Settlement right in the Wisconsin Dells. The resort takes full advantage of its location on the banks of the Wisconsin River by offering watercraft to rent. A large beach is also attached to the resort and a heated pool and playground are open for guests to use. In addition to the lodges, suites and villas are located on the property, and seven cabins are available to rent. Each feature refrigerators, cable television and access to a pier. The cabins are closed during the winter months, though the other types of rooms remain available.
