Fish lovers have a number of options including the barbecue Scottish salmon filet and the seared scallops. There is a prime burger bar, salads and plenty of sides to choose from. Finish off your meal with the frozen lemon gingersnap pie or the chocolate lava cake.     • Stockyard Steakhouse was referred to as "One of the Top Ten Steakhouses in the United States" by the International Restaurant & Hospitality Rating Bureau. Start off with Oyster Rockefeller or their buttermilk-dipped Rooster fries. They offer quality beef cuts including a 12-, 16- or 22-oz. prime rib, a 22-oz. porterhouse, a 14-oz. prime aged New York strip and a 7-, 10- or 16-oz. filet. The steak au poivre is topped with a wild mushroom demi-glaze and served with cream of spinach. Crack open some lobster or crab instead, or try their pork and poultry menu. They do offer one pasta, classic fettuccini alfredo. For dessert, try a slice of Southern pecan pie. Stockyard has been awarded the Wine Spectators "Award of Excellence" four straight years and with a offering of more than 300 wines. Hours of operation are 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

    • An old Victorian Mansion houses Jimmy Kelly's Steakhouse, a local establishment that has been open for more than 70 years and run by three generations of the Kelly family. Order some fried Gulf oysters, shrimp remoulade or prawns. Try the steak though, as all entrees come with a salad and either baked potato or French fries. Most standard steaks come in two sizes: standard and extra. Steaks include filet, New York strip, bleu cheese filet, bone-in ribeye or chateaubriand. Other meats include the lamb chops and mustard grilled rack of lamb. Fresh fish is offered daily and lobster tail is seasonal. Their wine menu includes more than 50 wines with about half available by the glass. The restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday, although Sunday it can be reserved for private parties.
