Asiana Airlines Baggage Requirements

Asiana Airline is based in Korea, and it has 83 routes, flying to more than 20 countries and 67 cities. It is always handy to know the baggage requirements and restrictions before traveling by air so you can pack your bags accordingly. Asiana Airline has different baggage requirements depending on where you are flying and the class in which you are flying.
  1. Outside of the US, Canada, Central and South America

    • When flying anywhere that is not the United States, US territories, Canada, Central America and South America, you have a certain amount of baggage allowance depending on your flight class. If you are flying first class, you are permitted to check baggage that is up to 88 pounds. For business-class passengers, the checked baggage allowance is 66 pounds. If you are flying economy class, you are allowed up to 44 pounds of baggage. Children who are traveling have the same adult baggage limitations if they are paying at least 50 percent of the adult fare rate. If you have an infant who's going to be traveling on your lap, the child is allowed 22 pounds of baggage. You can also bring on-board as your additional item a car seat, stroller or push-chair to be carried in the cabin.

    To and from Points in US, Canada, Central and South America

    • The baggage limitation rules are different if you are flying to and from the U.S.A., US territories, Canada, and Central and South America, including Mexico and the Caribbean islands. If you are flying business or first class, you are limited to two bags that cannot exceed 62.2 inches in length and 70 pounds per bag in weight. For economy-class flights, your baggage cannot exceed 45.3 inches in length, and the weight of each bag cannot be more than 50 pounds. Children paying at least 50 percent of the adult ticket fare are allowed the same baggage rules as adults. Infants are allowed one bag; the sum of its three dimensions cannot exceed 45 inches, and the total weight cannot be more than 70 pounds.

    Unchecked Baggage: Carry-On Items

    • You are allowed one carry-on item for economy class and two carry-on items if you are flying business or first class. The carry-on item should not exceed 22 pounds. To make sure that your carry-on will fit in the overhead rack, the sum of the three dimensions of carry-on items cannot exceed 45.3 inches. In addition to one carry-on bag, you may also bring a handbag, pocketbook, overcoat, blanket or a wheelchair.
