Malaysia Airlines is considered a five-star airline, according to Skytrax, an airline quality and research initiative based in the United Kingdom. If you buy an E-ticket on Malaysia Airlines, you still will need to take care of details, such as confirming your ticket, before rushing to the airport.
Visit the Malaysia Airlines website at http://www.malaysiaairlines.com. On the home page, you will be asked to choose your preferred country and language before you can continue.
Find the Web Check-in button near the middle of the next page. The button is in a gray section, next to E-Timetable and Flight Status buttons.
Click the Web Check-in button. You'll be taken to an Identification page, where you will be asked to choose from options that say E-Ticket Number, Passenger Name and Flight Details, and Enrich Card Number. Choose the E-ticket option and click "Continue."
Enter your E-ticket number and other pertinent details, such as your name or the name of the person traveling, originating and departure cities and flight number.
Allow the website to search for all passenger records with the same booking number. When the names are displayed, select the passengers you are checking in for this flight. If no other people are traveling on this trip, the passenger page will not be shown.
Confirm your flight. Flights that are more than 24 hours away cannot be confirmed by web check-in. The web check-in feature will also be unavailable if the plane is scheduled to depart within the next 90 minutes.
Select your nationality on the nationality definition page. This applies if your flight will be arriving at any Malaysian airport or continuing to any other international airport.
Provide your passport information. You will be required to provide the passport numbers, names, originating countries, passport-issuing countries, expiration dates of passports and full addresses of passengers you are checking in. Passengers who will be traveling to the United States will need to give the address where they will ultimately arrive.
Review the information you have provided and click "continue." Choose a seating assignment. Once this is complete, your flight is confirmed. You will be able to print your boading pass and be ready to travel.
