Find the station closest to your home.You can find the station closest to your home by logging onto Metrolink's website and selecting the "Stations & Maps" link located at the top of the page. Select the "Station Locator" link from the drop down menu.
Enter your address into the designated fields and click the "Submit" button to retrieve the address of the station closest to your home. Write down the station name and address. You will need this information later. View the station information to confirm that it goes to L.A. Union Station. You can view this information by selecting the "Stations" link located under the "Stations and Maps" tab at the top of the page.
Check the departure time. Call 800-371-5465 to check the schedule by phone. To view the departure time online click on the "Schedules" menu. Scroll down to locate your station and click on it to view its departure time. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid missing your train.
View the fare for your trip to LAX by selecting the "Fare" menu and choosing "Fare Calculator." Choose your "Depart" station from the drop down list and select "L.A. Union Station" as the arrival station. Click the "Find Ticket Prices" button to view a list of prices. Please note, you cannot purchase tickets online. Tickets must be purchased from vending machines and ticket validators located on Metrolink train platforms.
Board the train after you have purchased your ticket. Show it to the fare inspector upon request. Exit the train once you reach L.A. Union Station. The conductor announces each station prior to arrival.
Purchase your shuttle ticket from the FlyAway Kiosk and board the bus. Exit the shuttle once the bus stops at your airline terminal.
