There are two types of camping that can be done near the speedway: tent and RV camping. The campgrounds surrounding the speedway all have spots that can be reserved for both types. All spots should be reserved in advance, especially when the bigger events are occurring. In particular, those camping with RV's should book ahead to make sure a large-size campground is available.
Campsites vary in size depending on the campground. Some, like Kay's Kamping, offer only one size. In this case, the camp sites are 30 feet by 40 feet and spread out over 20 acres. On the other hand, campgrounds like Trackside Retreat offer variable campsite sizes, including 30-foot-by-40-foot sites as well as 20-foot-by-60-foot sites.
Since the campgrounds surrounding the speedway are often used by those watching events that go on there, some promotions are available, such as those at the Juniper Hills campground. The first 200 to book a campsite for a race get a free stadium seat ticket, and all campground guests can sign up to win prizes like a blowup racecar.
