    • Indiana has several rivers and lakes that are great for fishing. Bass and yellow belly catfish are popular near Martinsville at Patton Lake. For flathead fishing visit the Ohio River which travels through Evansville, New Albany and several other Indiana cities. The Wabash River stretches from Terre Haute to Lafayette and Lake Monroe produces loads of flatheads and blue catfish.

    Fishing In Michigan

    • Lake Erie, located on the southeast side of Lower Michigan, is home to perch ranging from 8 to 12 inches, as well as some large catfish near the Monroe Power Plant in the Hot Pond. Harbor Beach also has good perch fishing. The Huron River has provided many anglers with good-sized bluegill and crappie.

The southwest lower peninsula is also producing some great catches. The St. Joseph river is slow on walleye and catfish, but some anglers have caught some decent-sized small-mouth bass. The Grand River in Grand Rapids is hot with brown trout and with walleye and large bluegills upstream.

Mullet Lake in the northeast lower peninsula has anglers trolling for walleye about 40 feet down. Perch ranging from 4 inches to 11 inches swim near Pigeon Bay, Long Point and Dodge Point. Pigeon Bay has also been the place to be for small pike and the Cheboygan River has provided a lot of small-mouth bass.
