Situated on 60 acres on the highest privately-owned parcel in the state, in the shadow of Brasstown Bald Mountain, Enota Mountain Retreat is surrounded on all sides by the Chattahoochee National Forest. Campers here have a choice of cabins, full hook-up RV sites, pop up sites and tent sites along a stream. It's owned and operated by a non-profit organization with the goal of preserving this ancient Cherokee land. The property has four waterfalls, five streams and two trout ponds. Activities include fishing, biking and hiking. The Appalachian Trail is a 1.5 mile hike away. It has a retreat center for up to 250 people, a playground, an animal sanctuary, an organic garden and a hydro-electric plant to supply all the electricity.
