Surrounded by water except along its northern boundary, Florida offers ample opportunity for oceanside camping. The Sunshine State beckons to visitors with its lure of sandy beaches, sparkling waters and its seemingly endless days of sunshine. Camping along the coast is a popular way to experience the state. Campers vie for their own little piece of beach to relax, soak in the sun and splash in the cooling waters Florida is famous for. Crowds can be heavy, especially during the summer months. Calling ahead for reservations at any of Florida's campgrounds is recommended.
  1. Boyd's Key West Campground

    • Join the Conch Republic and visit the southernmost point in the United States while enjoying a waterfront view of enticing waters at Boyd's Key West Campground. Located at the city limits of Key West, Boyd's offers easy access to Duval Street restaurants and nightlife, area marinas and shopping. Relax by the water---which is steps out your back door at Boyd's---if all of Key West's pursuits wear you out. The campground features a heated swimming pool, a sandy beach and a marina. Frosty cold margaritas and shakers of salt are always close by at the poolside Tiki Hut. Day trips to the Dry Tortugas are available at the marina for those seeking a little more adventure.

    Red Coconut RV Park

    • Retreat to Fort Myers Beach for a spot literally right on the beach at this campground situated in the heart of this 7-mile-long, one-half-mile-wide barrier island.     St. Andrew's State Park

    • With over one-and-a-half miles of sugary white sand beaches to explore, St. Andrew's State Park in Panama City, Florida provides ample room for campers to stretch out and enjoy the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Daily shuttles traverse the main channel bringing visitors to Shell Island, a 7-mile-long undeveloped wilderness offering endless stretches of unoccupied sand for beach-going recluses. The campground features waterfront, wooded campsites and full facilities. Two hiking trails provide bird-watching and wildlife viewing opportunities through salt marshes and pristine sand dunes.
