Campgrounds in Jasper, Texas

Jasper, Texas, is a municipality of about 8,500 people located in an area the locals call “deep East Texas.” Jasper is the seat of Jasper County, one of the original 23 counties of the Republic of Texas. Today Jasper prides itself as a popular destination for travelers, thanks to it’s pleasantly warm weather, naturally beautiful surroundings and nearby Lake Sam Rayburn. According to the town’s website, “area terrain ranges from hilly to level, 85 percent forested by pines and hardwoods.” If you’re planning a trip to east Texas, you might want to consider taking in that natural beauty from one of several campgrounds in and around Jasper.
