Michigan Ice Fishing Resorts

Some anglers head to Northern Michigan during the winter for ice fishing opportunities. Some lakeside resorts and lodges cater to ice fishermen and offer shanty rentals, snowmobile rentals, guided ice fishing trips and saunas for after a long day out in the cold. Michigan is full of small inland lakes that freeze over each winter, providing ideal locations for safe and productive ice fishing.

    Lost Lake Lodge

    • Lost Lake Lodge is a private and secluded getaway where, during the winter months, provides a haven for ice fishermen. The lodge is located on Lost Lake, but is also surrounded by six other inland lakes in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Lost Lake is private, so guests at the lodge will not have to compete for fishing spots, and they can set up multiple holes without being crowded. The lake is home to brook and rainbow trout. The lodge sleeps up to 20 people at four people per room. A living room and common area allow for large groups to gather and for guests to mingle. After a cold day on the lake, ice fishermen can take advantage of the wood-burning Finnish sauna.
