Year-Round RV Campgrounds in Vermont

In Vermont most campgrounds are seasonal because of the cold weather in the winter. There are a few exceptions when it comes to recreational vehicle camping. Vermont has several year-round RV campgrounds that allow visitors to set up their rig during all four seasons. If a trip to Vermont in an RV is in your future plans, you can rest assured that these properties will be open and welcoming any time of the year.
  1. Running Bear Camping Area

    • Located at the base of Mt. Ascutney, the Running Bear Camping area has 49 RV sites with full hook-ups and another 38 with water and electric only. These sites are open throughout the year to campers, although the property does close for a couple of weeks in between seasons twice per year. Summer campers can visit anytime from May to October during the summer season and the RV park opens again in mid-November until mid-April.

The camping area has a heated pool, game room and a community hall for social gatherings available all year. During the summer guests may choose to utilize the softball, basketball, horseshoe or badminton facilities, while those staying for the winter may opt to seek out the nearby skiing or snowmobiling activities.
