RV Campgrounds Near Rutland, Vermont

Rutland is one of the largest and oldest cities in Vermont, with its downtown district listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Rutland is close to Green Mountain National Forest, Coolidge State Forest, Lake George, and Bomoseen State Park.     • Iroquois Land Family Camping is a seasonal park open from May until the middle of October. The park has 50 RV and tent sites: 20 pull-through sites; 24 sites with water and electric only; 16 with full water, sewer, and electric; and 10 sites with no hookups at all. The park has free wireless Internet access, a recreation hall, and laundry facilities. There is also a swimming pool, dump station, and an on-site store.

    Dorset RV Park

    • Dorset RV Park is a pet-friendly RV resort with both RV and tent sites. Campsites are level and shaded, and have water, sewer and/or 30/50-amp electric hookups. Sites with no hookups are also available. Dorset RV has a camp store, free wireless Internet access, a game room, dump station, laundry facilities, and trailer storage. The park also has a playground, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and social activities like group cookouts, ice cream socials, Bingo nights, bonfires, and potluck dinners. Dorset RV Park is close to the Long Trail section of the Appalachian Trail, Equinox Skyline Drive, and the Glen Eagles Golf Course. The park has both nightly and seasonal rates.

    Lake Bomoseen Campground

    • Lake Bomoseen Campground is located on 33 acres of shady woods and is adjacent to Lake Bomoseen itself. Guests can rent RV and tent camping sites with no hookups, water and electric only, or water, electric, and sewer. Pull-through sites with water and 50-amp electricity are also available. The campground has two boating ramps and docks, restrooms, a playground, miniature golf, a swimming pool, a water slide, and a whirlpool. There are also fishing lakes and streams, a group area, fire spots, an on-site store with LP gas, ice, and firewood, and picnic tables. The park has special events such as trick or treating for "Halloween" (August 7), Fourth of July fireworks, Labor Day Bingo and movies, and Christmas in July, complete with a visit from Santa. Lake Bomoseen Campground has daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Guests can also rent cabins, boats, and trailers.
