Camp Venice Retreat is a year-round campground, located in an old-growth oak hammock on the Myakka River, 13 miles from Englewood, Florida. Camp Venice can accommodate any size RV for overnight, weekly, monthly or seasonal stays. The more than 100 sites are equipped with 50/30/20 amp electric service, water and waste connection, and some sites back up directly to the riverfront. Amenities include a heated pool, Wi-Fi and canoe rentals. The local area has waterfront dining, shopping and miles of free sandy beaches, as well as fresh and saltwater fishing.

Brook to Bay Residents Cooperative is located adjacent to Lemon Bay Plaza in Englewood and offers 12 RV sites in addition to rental units, apartments and a marina. Camping fees include water, sewer, trash pick up and use of all the facilities, such as swimming pool and laundry building, as well as the clubhouse, recreational park and picnic area. Activities at Brook to Bay include card games, bingo and crafts, plus dances, fitness classes, parties and outdoor sports such as boating, bocce-ball and shuffleboard. Brook to Bay has a no-pets-allowed policy. Three beaches are nearby, and a shopping plaza next door is home to a bank, restaurant and beauty shop.

King's Gate Park, located in Nokomis, Florida, is an adults-only, 55-and-older community with both RV lots and mobile home rentals. RV lots are paved and offer full hookups and some lots allow pets. Park Amenities include a recreation hall and heated pool, two tennis courts and six shuffleboard courts, plus a marina and boat launch with Intracoastal and Gulf access. Local activities include horseback riding, tennis, beach walks and bird-watching.

Bay Palms RV Park, located in Englewood and 2miles from the beach, offers 16 RV sites with full hookups and cable TV. Park amenities include laundry facilities, boat slips and showers. That park welcomes guests’ pets. Other area attractions include state parks and several golf courses.
