RV Campgrounds near London, Ontario

Founded in 1826, London, Ontario is approximately 121 miles northeast of Detroit, Michigan and 195 miles southwest of Toronto, Ontario. The city is home to a variety of attractions, such as the Museum of Ontario Archaeology, the Children's Museum, the Secrets of Radar Museum and the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame. Known as the Forest City, London is about 20 miles from Lake Erie. The region is popular for RV camping.
  1. Fanshawe Conservation Area

    • Covering more than 1,200 hectacres of land, the Fanshawe Conservation Area is located to the north of London and receives more than 175,000 visitors per year, according to the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority. The park features 657 spots for recreational vehicles. Of the campsites, 420 have water and electric hookups, and an additional 237 have water hookups only. Although there are no sewage connections, the campground provides a waste dump and a mobile sewage service. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities are open to campers. A small store sells basic groceries, RV supplies, propane and firewood. Campers can fish for bass, pike and walleye in Fanshawe Lake or use the boat ramp to launch a motorboat or sailboat. The park has a pool and a playground, as well as hiking and biking trails . Fanshawe Conservation Area is open from late April to mid-October.

    London-401 KOA

    • A private campground, London-401 KOA offers 2 cabins, 18 spots for tents and 100 sites for recreational vehicles. Fifty-five of the spaces are pull-throughs and can accommodate RV up to 65 feet in length. The back-in spaces are only long enough for a 50-foot vehicle. All of the sites have water and electric hookups with 23 also featuring sewage. A waste dump is available at the camp. Amenities at the park include restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, wireless Internet and a store that sells RV supplies and firewood. For recreation, the park has an indoor heated pool and hot tub, a large children's playground and a bike trail. Bicycle rentals are available on-site. The park is open from May through mid-October.

    Pittock Conservation Area

    • The Pittock Conservation Area in Woodstock is approximately 22 miles from London (approximately 27 minutes by car). This public facility opened in 1967 and features 250 RV sites, 230 of which have electric and water hookups. A waste dump and mobile sewage service are available. The campground offers showers, restrooms and a camp store stocked with basic groceries, firewood and RV supplies. The park has an outdoor pool, a playground and a hiking trail., Pittock Lake is located on the property, and provides opportunities for fishing for perch, bass and pike as well as for boating, water-skiing and wind-surfing. The park is open from late April through mid-October.
