Many of the cabins managed by Sugar Maple Cabins have names. The Hillbilly Hill-ton is one; Angels Above is another. Cabin sizes range from one to 12 bedrooms. The larger ones can sleep 28 people, making them suitable for large family reunions, corporate meetings and other group events. Many big houses have game rooms and media rooms with cable or satellite TV, and some pet-friendly cabins are available. Dollywood amusement park is nearby, as is outlet shopping in Pigeon Forge. Hiking, backpacking and other outdoor sports are enjoyable year round if you do not mind cooler temperatures at times.

Hidden Springs offers one- to eight-bedroom log cabins. The larger ones are called lodges and feature amenities such as gas fireplaces, pool tables and outdoor grills. Timbercreek is located in Wears Valley near Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg. The area offers many opportunities for outdoor fun such as hiking, horseback riding, trout fishing, rafting, and four wheeling along mountain trails.
