Gahanna is home to 20 parks, but one of the most popular is Creekside Park. The park's man-made waterfall and its picturesque grounds make a great place for families, friends and couples alike to picnic. The park also offers a variety of activities, such as paddle boating and fishing in the park's marina, skating in the park's skating rink and various community events as well.
The Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival is a cultural celebration that spans three days and features musical acts, amusement rides, activities for families, and food and arts vendors from around the city. For example, the festival includes a jazz brunch, a "Jog for Jazz" 5K run, and a Jazz and Blues contest in which musicians compete for the top prize.

The Wyandotte Winery has been a staple in Gahanna since it was constructed in 1976. After a couple of closures and re-openings, the winery expanded to include a restaurant. Gahanna locals head to the winery to engage in wine tastings, winery events and dinner out on the town. The winery offers tours of the grounds that include information about wine making, and "Women Who Wine" days when ladies can enjoy special prices on glasses of wine with their friends. Every Wednesday is Hump Day Happy Hour, which features wine slushies, sangria and glasses of wine for $4 a pop.

In a city known as the herb capital of the state, it's a must to check out the Ohio Herb Education Center and the Geroux Herb Gardens. Guests to the education center can learn about the history of herbs within the garden, and more about how to enhance the flavors of food when cooking with herbs. They also learn about and sample different teas, and whip up their own herbal tea blends to take home. During tours of the Geroux Herb Gardens, guests take a peek at each of the themed garden areas, including the scented, culinary, medical and biblical gardens.
