List of Inside Kids Activities in New Hampshire

The state of New Hampshire offers an array of outdoor activities including hiking and golfing in the summer months, and skiing, snowboarding and tubing during the winter, but it also provides numerous year-round venues that offer indoor activities for kids. Walk on the moon, splash around in a water park, or scale a mountain, all the while remaining comfortably indoors.

    • Located in Manchester, the See Science Center welcomes adults and kids of all ages to its interactive science center, featuring more than 100 exhibits and experiments. Stare in awe at the Millyard Project exhibit, a scale model of the nearby historic Amoskeag Millyard constructed entirely out of more than two million Lego blocks. Other museum attractions include Reptile Mountain, the Science of Ice Hockey, and the Moonwalk exhibit, where children weighing less than 70 pounds can experience weightlessness while walking on a model of the moon. Hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

No need to pack a lunch as the park includes an on-site café, the Tiki Tide, which serves popular items, such as hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks. If the kids tire of the water activities, head to the indoor arcade area of the park, which offers several of the latest virtual reality games, and favorites like pinball and air hockey.
