How to Change the Address on a Canadian Passport
A Canadian passport is valid for five years, unless it belongs to a child under the age of three, in which case it expires after three years. You do not need to obtain a new passport just to change your address. Writing your new address directly in the passport is sufficient. However, if your passport is within 12 months of the expiration date, you may wish to obtain a new passport anyway.

1
Turn to page four of your passport.
-
2
Cross out your old address with a pen.
-
-
3
Write your new address above the crossed-out space. Use a pen, not a pencil, and write legibly.
-
4
Print your new address on a separate piece of paper if the space in your passport is too small to write it in. Place the piece of paper inside your passport.
