How to Renew the Passport of a Minor

No matter your age, if you are traveling internationally you are required to have a valid US passport. Passports must be renewed every 10 years to remain valid. Children under the age of 16 who need to renew their passports must do so in person at a Passport Acceptance Facility. Children's passports cannot be renewed by mail as can an adult's passport.
