How Do I Apply for a New Zealand Work Visa in Brunei?

New Zealand's modern infrastructure and natural beauty make it a very attractive place to live and work. If you're from Brunei (or most other countries), you'll need to apply for a work visa to be employed there legally. Remember to check your application carefully and provide all the required information.

Instructions

    • 1

Carefully examine the Work Visa/Permit Guide (INZ 1016), available online, to determine what kind of work visa you qualify for or are interested in.

    • 2

Print, then complete, the correct Immigration New Zealand form. For most people, this will be INZ 1015.

However, if you intend to get a long-term business visa or permit, or are interested in seasonal work, you need to complete different forms (see the top of INZ 1015 for details).

Make sure you have all the required documents for your application:

      • Correct, completed and signed application form

      • Passport or other travel document

      • Passport-sized photograph of yourself

      • Correct application fee (there is a calculator on the Immigration NZ website)

You may also need other documents, including proof of qualifications and work experience (if you have been offered a job), evidence about your health and character and other evidence appropriate to your specific application (this is listed on the form).
