The Spring Lake Resort boasts a variety of camping sites including 75 full sites, 100 partial sites and 10 pull-through sites. They also offer cabin, efficiency and handicap units. While this resort is located near two different ski resorts, it is closed during the winter months between Sept. 16 and April 30. However, drive-ups in self-contained RVs are welcome between Nov. 1 and May 1, even though the water is turned off during the winter months.
Spring Lake Resort has many activities located within the confines of American Campgrounds. Guests can enjoy activities and amenities including a swimming pool; swimming, fishing or paddle-boating in the lake; sports like volleyball, basketball, tennis and mini-golf; scheduled entertainment; playground for the children; and a small store with snacks and convenience items.
During the summer months, American Campgrounds guests who love trailblazing will enjoy nearby hiking trails. The Kalamazoo Nature Center boasts a wide variety of hiking trails ranked from easy to difficult. Additional trails like Kal-Haven State Park and Markin Glen County Park are nearby Spring Lake Resort. If entertainment and culture are your preference, there are activities available in and around Kalamazoo, including Actors and Playwrights Initiatives Theater, Kalamazoo Air Zoo, Kalamazoo Island Festival (in June), Kalamazoo Bach Festival (monthly events), Kalamazoo Film Society (monthly events), Kalamazoo Institute of the Arts, Kalamazoo Speedway, West Michigan Glass Art Center and three local wineries. There are also skiing, snowboarding, tubing and cross-country skiing opportunities for winter guests at Timber Ridge Ski Resort and Ski Bittersweet.
Spring Lake Resort is a deluxe resort for your pleasure, but they do have a few minor restrictions. Pets are welcome, but they are required to have current vaccinations. RVs cannot be longer than 45 feet. This includes any trailers or vehicles that the RV is towing. Additional parking spaces are available at request.
