Newark, Ohio, has only one indoor water park -- CoCo Key Water Resort. Located at Newark's Cherry Valley Lodge, it is also Ohio's largest water park. The facility features indoor and outdoor attractions and has 10 locations nationwide. Each resort's size ranges from 50,000 to 65,000 square feet. According to the park's website, one of its goals is to provide a "close-to-home getaway" for families by re-creating the tropical Key West experience of the past.
Coco Key Water Resort is part of the Cherry Valley Lodge. Cherry Valley Lodge is a hotel that provides guests with access to lodging, water resorts, spas and golf courses. Admission prices are the same for adults and children. As of 2010, day passes cost $10 and weekend passes cost $15. Annual passes are available for $59.95. CoCo Key Water Resort periodically offers discounts on its website. For instance, on Oct. 10, 2010, it celebrated opening its 10th location by selling all-day passes for $10 and offering free admission to those whose birthdays fell on that day. Other examples include discounted Halloween specials and group packages.

The resort's signature attractions include the Zero Depth Entry Pool, which is a wading pool with slides for children under 48 inches tall, and The Shark Slam, Gator Gush and Barracuda Blast, which are the park's three major water slides. The park also has a play area for young children called Parrot's Perch that dumps gallons of water on them several times an hour, and Coral Reef Cavern, which is a pool with basketballs and lily pads. The park also features Coconut Grove Adventure River, a ride in which patrons float down the river on tubes.
For those seeking a break from the water, the resort features the Key Quest Arcade. The arcade is an interactive gaming facility with games for all ages. According to the CoCo resort website, the top five games are Wheel of Fortune, Spin n' Win, Deal/No Deal, Cyclone and Wheel Deal.
CoCo Key has five restaurants with options ranging from pizza to hot dogs. The restaurants include The Wet Rooster Bar, The Gallery, Pizza Hut Express, Sunflower's Restaurant and Callaloo Grill.
The resort features five thatched cabanas with televisions. Each cabana can accommodate approximately four to six people. Guests can reserve cabanas for an entire day, but must make reservations in advance.
