Known for its casinos and resort hotels like Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio, the city of Las Vegas receives 30 million visitors per year. The large number of visitiors to the area has led to the establishments of hundreds of restaurants in the city.   1. Burger Bar

    • Established in November 2003, Burger Bar is on the Strip in Mandalay Place and is the project of celebrity chef Hubert Keller. The restaurant held "Zagat" dining guide options of "very good to excellent" for its food and "good to very good" for its decor and service as of September 2010. Diners create their own burgers beginning with a selection of meats, including midwester Black Angus, beef from a family owned farm, Kobe beef from farms on the Snake River and ground buffalo meat from Wyoming. Then, guests can add whatever items they wish, such as blue or provolone cheeses or vegetables like avocado or sliced cucumber. To finish and personalize the burger, the restaurant also offers 31 additional toppings like black truffles, pickled green tomatoes, lobster meat and pan-seared foie gras. Grilled chicken, salmon steak and turkey burgers are available instead of beef. The restaurant has a full bar. Burger Bar serves lunch and dinner daily and stays open late Friday and Saturday nights. Reservations are only taken for large groups. Business casual attire is suggested. A children's menu is available for young diners.

    • Located off the Strip in the Las Vegas neighborhood of Summerlin, Create opened in December 2008. The restaurant offers a design-your-own burger menu, but also features six specialty burgers, each named after a different period or personality in fine art history. An example is the "Impressionist," topped with Cajun seasoning, jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, pepperjack cheese and spicy mayonnaise. Also featured on the menu are portabello, turkey and veggie burgers as substitutes for beef. Frozen custard is another specialty of the house and comes with a variety of possible toppings, like blackberries or white chocolate chips. Create serves lunch and dinner daily. The restaurant offers counter service and has a dining area in which guests can enjoy their meals. Casual attire is the norm.

    All-American Bar & Grille

    • The All-American Bar & Grille is inside of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, west of the Strip. The restaurant opened in January 1991 and held "Zagat" ratings of "very good to excellent" for its food and "good to very good" for its service and decor as of September 2010. Its burgers are made on a mesquite grill and are all 1/2-pound portions. The menu includes 14 specialty selections, such as the Texas chili and cheddar cheese or the bacon and fried egg. A portobello mushroom burger is also available as a vegetarian alternative. The restaurant has a full bar that specializes in margaritas. The All-American Bar & Grille is open daily for lunch and dinner and stays open late every night. Reservations are accepted. Casual attire is acceptable.
